For the adaptation of the Development in foreign trade Import/Export, China National Electric Wire Cable Import/Export Corporation (CCC) was established in March 1981 with its principal office at Langjiayuan, Jiangguomenwai, Beijing China. On April 15,1981, the state Import/Export commission further assigned and approved CCC as a specialized foreign trade body in charge of export in the field of electric wire, cable and its accessories in China. In addition, CCC is capable of undertaking turnkey projects of power transmission and distribution both at home and abroad.
Being registered with state industry and commerce administration bureau of P.R.C, CCC is the one with characteristics of combination production with trade, technology with commerce and of import with export, Besides of its 6 domestic branch offices separately located in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shunde, Shenyang, Xiamen and Tianjin, CCC has also set up another six overseas project offices in Pakistan, Cyprus, Bangladesh, Philippine and Egypt respectively in recent years.
CCC is composed by integration 54 large and medium scale wire and cable manufactures along with one electric cable research institute in Shanghai and five engineering companies in the field of power, communication and design all over the China. The total capital among all those members units reaches up to approx 300 million U.S Dollars with its employees of over 55,000 in which about 5000 qualified engineers and technicians.
The main business scope of CCC is as follows:
1. Supplying a variety of electric wires, magnet wires and cables for electric equipment, power cables, telecommunication cables, optical fiber cable and all accessories for different kinds of cables to be made in accordance with Chinese standards (JB,GB) as well as international standards such as IEC,BSDIN/VDE,JIS, and ASTM ETC. It is also possible to design, produce and provide wire and cable products as per customers’ specifications.
2. Implementing projects of Extra-high tension power transmission and distribution and substation including design, supply, erection, installation and testing and commissioning.
3. Undertaking import business of raw materials, semi-products for producing electric wire and cable and its accessories.
4. Dealing in technology import business of test Apparatus /Instruments/Machines/Equipment/Complete production line for manufacturing wire and cable conducting business of compensation trade, cooperative production, joint venture, processing with supplied material and drawing, technical consultant and ETC.
5. Developing and promoting the cooperation of international trade and acting as agent for foreign companies and enterprises in China.
The corporation, during its 18 years of existence, has supplied various kind of electric wire and cable products with its accessories to more than 80 countries and regions such as the States, United Kingdom, Greece, Finland, Pakistan, Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Egypt, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hongkong, Macao etc. All goods and projects supplied and completes by CCC are enjoying a good reputation in the world market for their high quality and competitive prices and some of them have been awarded inspection certificate issued by those well known organizations such as British Crown Agents, Lioyd’s register of shipping, underwritten laboratory (UL) and other inspections bodies.
In recent years, CCC pays great attention to contracting power transmission projects on turn-key basis. Nowadays, 4 such kinds of projects have been completed. One is one 132KV O.F underground cable lines with fiber optic cable and its accessories have been completed in Cyprus. One is nine 132KV O.F underground cable lines with its accessories have been completed in Pakistan. One is two 220 KV O.F underground cable lines with its accessories have been completed in Bahrain. Another project is 15 gird substations contract completed in Bangladesh. Besides, one contract of all necessaries for two gird substations is executing in Pakistan and another project of 220KV O.F underground cable lines is executing in Egypt.
Mentioned above have been passed the relevant tests conducted in both manufactures L.AB and N.V KEMA high voltage laboratory, Netherlands with the presence of purchasers engineer to verify and witness the tests. The good results that have achieved from the turnkey projects have won a quite satisfaction from the end users.
