| Chinese special envoy holds talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan |

China’s Middle East Special Envoy Sun Bigan and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan Abdul Ilah Khatib discussed bilateral relations on Wednesday. The two sides also examined the latest regional developments, especially the situation in the Palestinian territories. During the meeting, Khatib emphasized the need to enhance Sino-Jordanian relations. He also stressed the need to intensify international efforts to encourage the Palestinians and the Israelis to resume peace negotiations on the basis of UN Security Council Resolution 242 and international peace accords. |
